John Davis, M.D.
Professor and Chair, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
John Davis, M.D., is a professor and chair of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. He previously served as the interim chair and residency program director in the department of obstetrics and gynecology in Gainesville before taking over the department in Jacksonville on Jan. 1, 2019.
Davis attended college at Washington University in St. Louis and graduated from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in 1986. He completed his residency training at UF in 1990 and spent four years in Germany serving in the United States Army. He then returned to UF as a faculty member in 1995, serving as the director of the division of gynecology through November 2016, when he was appointed associate chair of the department of obstetrics and gynecology.
