George "Skip" Wilson III, M.D.

Senior Associate Dean, Clinical Affairs


George R. Wilson III, M.D., is senior associate dean for clinical affairs at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. He is also an adjunct professor of community health and family medicine.

Wilson joined UF in 1987, and served as associate chair of community health and family medicine. When the Jacksonville medical college was designated a regional campus of UF in 2006, he was appointed department chair and promoted to the rank of professor. In 2012, Wilson was named senior associate dean for clinical affairs.

Wilson received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Mississippi, and completed a family medicine residency at the Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton in California. He is board-certified in hospice and palliative medicine and sees patients at UF Health Community and Family Medicine – Jacksonville.
